Grootbos Private Nature Reserve

Grootbos is located between De Kelders and Stanford and just a short drive from Hermanus. Quite simply it is a melting pot of Biodiversity, Culture and Natural Wonder set in the most glorious of settings and luxury accommodation. Some of the activities include whale watching, which is an almost spiritual experience, and is why people from around the world flock to Walker Bay in the Western Cape every year. Spot Southern Right Whales on either land-based or boat-based excursions or take a flight for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With its own stables, horse riding can also be arranged as either a beginner or expert rider, as you trot slowly through the fynbos or ride on the beach.
